Plaid Tie Happy!

Hey everyone!!! With the holidays coming up I thought this was a perfect time to talk about this super gorgeous wrap tie dress! I feel like it is very flattering on all shapes and sizes of women and is super fun and easy to dress up or down. I am focusing on dressing it up a little for going out or maybe even thanksgiving dinners!

This month has been super crazy and i'm sure you might feel the same. Holidays get crazy and hectic but clothing should be easy and simple. I paired this with flats before and I liked that too. I love comfy and simple outfits since i'm always on the go. I'm wearing booties from Aldo that are very comfortable since they have a big chunky heel but they aren't very tall.

I wore some cute sparkly jewelry like my watch that has some jewels and I felt very pretty and it added a cute touch to my outfit!

I hope you guys liked this post for today and that it inspired you to give plaid a chance!! and maybe even in a dress form! :)  I'll make sure to post where I got these items from. xoxo!

Leopard Print + Boots!

Hey everyone!! here I am just bringing you a simple, cute and easy to layer outfit!! Leopard print can make such a good statement on your basic simple pieces and giving them that extra edge. If you're in a rush out the door and wanna spice up a casual outfit then leopard print is that print! this beautiful, soft scarf is from Nordstrom and I got it during their big annual sale. this scarf has a very cute color since I don't like my leopard scarves to be too dark like a lot of them are, this one has a lighter colored material that makes those leopard spots POP!
I decided to braid my hair into two pigtails and pin them up for a cute casual hairstyle, perfect and easy for running errands but still cute! I used one of my cute white tees and a super cozy cardigan that literally felt like silk on my skin so I was pretty much wearing a comfy robe almost.

I wore my favorite Dark wash Jeans and over the knee boots with a small heel because like always, I gotta be able to pick up my babies and be able to run comfortably too! :D
I'll make sure to link all stores where the items are from and maybe even similar items but I hope this helped you find a little inspiration or get some ideas for your everyday wardrobe.

Fall trends I'm loving

Fall is coming and I'm so excited to see all the new fashion and styles coming out. I have a few trends that i'm absolutely in love with and I wanted to share them with you guys. There are some trends I like that are specific and i'll start with .....

1.bell sleeves. Bell sleeves have been a staple all summer long and ruffles too. For fall, I see bell sleeves becoming more straight with less ruffles and a smooth comfy look.

This one with the tie is one of my favorites and I do see ties being part of the sweaters for fall since It will be getting cold and having the option to loosen and tighten that bell is nice, plus I feel it gives it a cute cozy detail.

2. Pearls, Pearls and More Pearls!!
Pearls are such a classic and make beautiful clothing pieces. I predict pearls will become more prominent this fall and will be included in hats, beanies and sweaters, shoes, they're a beautiful classic that makes all the things it sets on beautiful and luxurious looking.

3.Velvet Bottoms
Velvet shirts and sweaters have been in for summer and I have loved them but for fall I definitely think it's all about the bottoms! Velvet leggings and skirts are beautiful and add such a cute look to any of your plain tees

4. I'm all about comfort and these super cute furry jackets are perfect for day to day errands or under your blazers or long trenches to keep you extra cozy and super cute. I found these adorable kid ones too so you guys all can match and stay toasty. I see these becoming really popular this winter and a great layering piece for your closet.

are any of you currently loving any of these trends? if so, which is your favorite? Thanks for being subscribed to my site and if you have'nt yet make sure to subscribe so you always get notifications to your email when new posts go up!!

Stripes out on the town ;)

Hey everyone! thanks for checking out my site and for being awesome, cool and laid back. I know posting outfits might seem a little strange, but guys...I love dressing up and coming up with cute, comfortable yet easy outfits. I'll be showing all sorts of stuff on here so why not something I enjoy. If I had to define my style, I would define it as classic, easy to wear and affordable. I like comfort since i'm running around chasing kiddos all day but I also enjoy pieces that you can wear over and over again in different ways! since fall is here I thought i'd start with this outfit. The boots are Merona brand and from target and perfect for those of you guys who are a little shorter since they are shorter too and are the perfect boot for those rainy fall days :)
these are some of my favorite leggings and they are actually workout leggings so are a little thicker and not see through and I got these at Costco.

She doesn't like taking pictures with me. it makes me kinda sad cause she's the cutest little doll.

Favorite Rain boots and under $33 that's a win for me guys! these boots also come in Navy and black

Small Details like this classic face watch make the all the difference for me. I love this watch because it was fairly inexpensive and gives off such a classic time less vibe. it is one of my favorites and I wear it often.

Ill be setting up links for these so you can shop directly from their site. I love a good deal and hope you do too! let me know in the comments what you thought about this outfit. :D

Favorite Conditioning Products (DRUGSTORE)

Hey everyone! were talking moisture, moisture and even more...you guessed it! MOISTURE! (singing in a melodic cute tune) many of you guys who have curly hair know how hard it can be to find products that are moisturizing and not just sit on top of your hair like a plastic filler like substance. ugh! so i'm going to be sharing with you guys conditioners, and other products that have literally given me LIFE because my hair is high porosity and just doesn't absorb moisture as naturally as other hair types so these products absorb super well and most importantly they are DRUGSTORE! so on top of being amazing they are affordable. Every girl with thick curly hair can now yell out "HURRAY!" because life has restored balance. lol anyways lets start with conditioners because they are truly a foundation for whats to come.

ONE- I recently tried a new brand by HASK. This is the ARGAN OIL from Morocco repairing conditioner and amazing. I'm going to be purchasing the rest of some of their hydrating products since they were just like butter on my hair! give this one a shot because at only $6 and something cents its totally worth it! it has a super pleasant mild smell and absorbs super well. MY TOP FAVORITE CONDITIONER RIGHT NOW is by Renpure and you can get a large size with a pump on amazon for 7.99 which is amazing when you have thick hair. This Conditioner literally makes my frizzy ends super smooth and sleek.

TWO- This conditioner i'm raving about is not only the most amazing smelling and beautiful texture but its super amazing for detangling. It really helps detangle a lot more efficiently than other conditioners with less pain so this might be a good one to try on your littles that cry out when they get tangles. The con to this brand is that its not big enough for me because I find myself reaching for it all the time so I do wish it had a bigger sized bottle but this one also is available at Walmart for $6 and change!

THREE-If you came to my house today and looked in my bathroom you'd find a stock of this product because it is NECESSARY!! haha so this is my favorite absolute product because its super moisturizing and really does define curls like it states. Many products sometimes do either moisturize or define but this is the first product that truly gives my hair moisture while giving it that definition. Cantus Natural Hair Moisturizing Curl activator Cream! it goes for $5-7 depending on the store but when it goes on sale if it ever does or I see its at $5 I just stock up because I always need it!

FOUR- This Gel is super moisturizing and feels natural. If you have curly hair you might have already heard about it but if you have not, put down your 3 dollar gel full of alcohol and drying ingredients and switch over to ECO STYLERS OLIVE OIL GEL :) this gel is perfect for twist outs and for preventing the frizz. When i first moved to Texas my hair was such a mess because I was not used to so much moisture so for like a year i walked around scaring my kids haha jk but seriously.  I had forgotten how much this gel was always so good and just bought some random gel at the store or sometimes didn't use any. While I could get away with not wearing gel in Utah, in Texas I needed something stronger that felt natural and didn't make my curls stiff while not drying it out. I have a big list of requirements apparently. Favorite Gel hands down! Super affordable and large tub! the small tubs are at drugstores but i'd make the trip to Sally Beauty Supply for the extra large one!

FIVE- Last but not least is my favorite edge control. I've tried many edge control products that leave residue on my edges and even leave my edges dry and brittle and that is unattractive and a little bit scary cause moisturizing edges can be hard if they become super brittle. Ultra sheen has a conditioner and hair dress POMADE that is super moisturizing and is very strong so it can hold those edges down. I personally like the original formula and have had no issues with it and it does everything I need.  If your hair is super dry the same line carries the same product but for "extra dry" so it is even more moisturizing than the original!

So there it is guys! my top 5 moisturizing products right now. I hope this was helpful as a fellow dry curly haired girl I can definitely attest to all these products and their super moisturizing properties.

Food above it all

So it may not surprise you that food is essentially the most important thing for weight loss, health and fitness. Like many of you I have been tempted by crash diets and strange and restrictive diet plans.  I have tried low carb before and it has worked for me but quickly after I'd lose 5 lbs id stop because my biggest addiction is carbs. You name a carb and I will probably tell you I love it, finding your weaknesses is important so you know what to tackle. I had to take a sit down with myself and be honest with myself. I don't crave sweets but if I have them on my fridge I'll eat them, aka ice cream. I'm working on the self control where I can have some treats and not all of it , an ashamed face emoji would go here cause that sounds silly but it's my truth. I made a low carb recipe that my kiddo loves and the husband and me! Which to me is a total winner cause that NEVER happens in a million years right? Well, here's the recipe cause it must be shared and eaten as a rice or even carb substitute.

PS. I do eat carbs just very low and for dinnertime I've been avoiding carbs and will eat my carbs during the day and it seems to be really making a difference! 😊

You'll need a food processor or a manual grater, I chose the latter since it's what I have.
I grated the cauliflower and put it aside
I grated carrots and put them aside
I chopped purple onions and spring onions
I then oiled up my skillet with pure olive oil and added the cauliflower and carrots first since they take the most time to cook.
I added my condiments vegan low sodium & kosher bacon salt, pepper
I cooked on medium for 5 min then added the onions and stirred for another 10 min
And voila! A yummy and quick low carb dinner!

The Magnolia Market!

Ever since I moved to San Antonio I have been excited to visit Magnolia Market because it was so much closer than it ever was before. Many of you might not know what this is but pretty much, if you are into TV and watch HGTV you know who Chip and Joanna are, they are a husband and wife team who rebuild homes that were once falling apart and make them into beautiful and perfectly decorated homes that we all go gaga for on their hit show "Fixer Upper" if this intrigues you, Google my friend! you will not be disappointed. Magnolia Market was a lot smaller than I thought it'd be, but it seems like all the things I watch on TV are always a lot smaller in real life.
I took this picture of Luis and the kids as soon as we walked in :)

There's pretty much a very "open concept" field where kids and their parents can sit in benches and eat some of the food truck foods or play football, hackey sack and soccer on and it's very relaxed!

Derek was exploring too of course :D

The bakery was so cute!! We definitely got a treat there! when you go beware! you will be waiting 15-20 minutes but it is worth it. Luis makes fun of me cause I wanted to "experience" getting a cupcake here! haha

I fell in love with this green little truck

                                                                      yummmmm

The garden is so cute and sadly didn't have a lot of plants since it is still winter but I bet come spring it'll be gorgeous in there!! the little flowers they did have were stunning.
Giant swings for families, don't gotta tell me twice!
